To keep your jewellery looking it’s best, care should be taken to avoid direct contact with hair and skin products, perfumes and household chemicals. All jewellery should be removed before showering and swimming so as not to cause damage or discolouration.
Jewellery can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a very soft toothbrush then rinse thoroughly and dry well.
Use a lint-free cloth to keep polished jewellery looking shiny.
How do I use essential oils with lava beads?
Place your lava stone jewellery on a paper towel or cloth and apply 1-2 drops of essential oil directly to the lava bead only, if oil does get on other parts of the jewellery wipe clean immediately to avoid any tarnishing.
Allow the oil to absorb for a few minutes then wipe of any excess with a cloth or paper towel before wearing. The warmth of your skin will naturally diffuse the oils.
Will essential oils stain my clothes?
I am not responsible for any damage caused by oils used with my jewellery. However I would advise you to use 100% pure, high quality essential oils as they are less likely to stain and be sure to remove any excess oil from the surface of the lava bead before wearing.
How long will the aroma last on the lava stone?
Depending on the oils used the aroma will last anything from a couple of hours to two days, it will gradually fade and can be topped up by adding more oil. If you want to use a different oil wait for the aroma to disappear before applying your new essential oil, there is no need to clean the lava stone.
